"Where was God?" She asked me
With storming eyes and jerky movements
As she spat the words into my face.
I was speechless for a moment.
Not because I didn't know the answer.
I know that he is always there.
The pain in her voice was mingled
With the anger and I felt it to my soul.
"He was there." I finally say. I cannot lie.
"Then why did he allow it?" She began
To weep in silent tears that scudded down
Her face and made me want to cry as well.
"I don't know." I told her honestly.
And scarce a heartbeat later, then I did.
I saw it all, as though I saw it all.
"This world," I told her, "Is the place
We come to and experience what happens
When things are not done God's way."

"Wow. That's a good one. Thanks for sharing!"
You know, a thought occurred to me, which may be silliness, but who can say; What if we are the "third" that fell? What if this is our chance to do it right, and be "saved" though we have earned only abandonment? What if we must go through this life, and death, to learn of things we could not grasp "in His presence", for we could not understand what would happen if we were not?
I'd rather think that we volunteered for this job of being examples to all creations. But, of course, that's my theory. I don't have any scripture to back that up.
We come to and experience what happens
When things are not done God's way."
so much for 'god's' unconditional love, eh?
