When you come back (poem)

I feel you close to me
in everything I do
the warmth you always exuded
surrounds me

I smile up at the blue sky
as I walk to class
the memory of you
so sharp it stings

A soft sigh in my ear
I turn expecting to see
your smiling face
looking down at me

It's just the wind
that you control
breathing softly
and awakening my senses

My heart feels lighter
then air on this sunny day
with you all around me
loving me in every way
